I purchased my first home when I was 23. Justin was there from the very beginning and helped me through the entire process. Myself being a novice, Justin demonstrated great patience and established a feeling of trust with me. Justin educated me on the process and provided great advice that made my home buying experience an excellent one. I would recommend Justin to anyone looking to purchase a home, because he not only approaches his job as a professional, but he also approaches his clients as a friend. I have built a great friendship with Justin and regularly communicate with him about real estate and many other subjects.
Thanks,
Adan
Testimonial for Justin Nielsen by Maria J. Stephan:
I am a very happy first-time home owner who had the great fortune of meeting and working with Justin Nielsen, whose professionalism and personal touch make him a stand-out agent. Our paths crossed randomly at the Java House, a popular neighborhood coffee shop near Dupont Circle, after I overheard a conversation between Justin and another client – a young professional who, like me, was looking to buy a condo. Impressed by his astute probing of this woman’s aesthetic and lifestyle preferences, critical information for identifying an ideal home for her, I chased after Justin as he was leaving the coffee shop. We swapped cards and began visiting properties together shortly thereafter.
Justin impressed me with his patience, honesty, and willingness to go out of his way to explain the process and keep things moving forward expeditiously. All the while, he maintained a wonderful sense of (Danish) humor which I really appreciated. When the financing for a condo I was looking to buy fell through because of the status of the building, Justin helped me get over the initial disappointment and we together pursued the “back up” option – which turned out to be a much better property! (As is true so often in life, disappointments are blessings in disguise….) After negotiating a very good price with the seller’s agent, Justin went beyond the call of duty to ensure that the loan underwriting process proceeded smoothly, notwithstanding a few speed bumps along the way.
I have been living in my new home in the West End-Foggy Bottom area for nearly three months and love the apartment and my surroundings. Aware that my culinary skills are less than impeccable, Justin has volunteered to offer me a cooking lesson or two – this will be very useful I continue to host dinner parties! I highly commend Justin to anyone looking to buy a home. He is a wonderful advocate, problem-solver, and friend who believes that the home-buying process and the outcome of that process are integrally related.
Maria on the day of closing – THIS is why I love my job!!
Hi Justin,
‘Twas a pleasure closing with you today! I wanted to THANK YOU again for all of the hard work you have put into making my dream of home ownership a reality. Although there were some bumps along the way (many of which were outside the gambit of our decision-making) at the end of the day we achieved great success. I love where I’m living now and look forward to many happy memories at the Swarthmore. And I would love to meet up later this week and introduce you to my parents. How does Friday work for coffee or lunch? Let me know how your schedule looks. You are a good man, Justin, and I am lucky to be able to call you my friend. Thanks again for everything.
Best,
Maria
p.s. I will feature the Keller Willams book prominently on my coffee table…. J

I must commend Justin for doing a terrific job selling my condo in Capitol Hill. Since I live in northeastern Pennsylvania, it was essential for me to work with someone that I had an extreme comfort level with and could handle the sale flawlessly. Not only did Justin sell the property, he pulled it through with remarkable results compared to the averages in these times. In fact, I had received an estimated sales price from another realtor a full year before the market conditions slowed down and was so discouraged that I didn’t even decide to list the property for a full year. The other realtor had been managing my property for over 12 years and should have known the property better than anyone. Not only did Justin handle the sale at a price that exceeded everyone’s expectations, but he was able to negotiate an amicable exit strategy with my existing three tenants, deal with an uncooperative property management company, the realtor for a first-time buyer and myself, keeping everyone in the loop at all times. His knowledge of the housing market is unbeatable and his professionalism is unmatched.

hi Justin
Just wanted to let you know i am still very happy with my new home a year later! In fact, i just used my DC first-time buyer tax refund
for some new furniture and paint to really finish making it my own. The neighbors in my condo building are all great too – the building definitely was a true find and I’m glad you helped me to see that. There are also a few other houses on our street that have been nicely renovated and sold, which is always good news. Thank you for introducing me to the Brookland area and working so hard to help me find a great first home!
Cheers!
Christine

Justin,
You defy the adage that good guys finish last. I didn’t want to like you when we first met, but you charmed me and my roommates with a bottle of wine and honesty. Months later, when I was losing a battle to a heartless property-management company, you came to my rescue. Through good manners, good humor, and persistence, you achieved justice and helped me pay for law school. Thank you so much for being such a compassionate and effective agent, advocate, and friend.
Sincerely,
Savannah
